In the sixth squad of the Ballmaster Open qualification we got a new top name in the list, when the younger of the Palermaa brothers, Toni, rolled new top score 1454.

The roster in the evening squad was worthy of the tournament. Entering was PBA-legend Parker Bohn III, who showed his skill already on his first try and scored 1351, which is enough for a spot in the final. There were also National Team bowlers from Singapore. Of them Chreie Shi Hua Tan succeeded best with her 1379, which gave her second spot in the squad. Multiple World Champion Remy Ong did not quite find the right way to bowl, but his 1272 is not bad.

In spite of famous foreigners, it was Finnish bowler, who made the highest score. Young Helsinki bowlers Toni Palermaa and Joonas Jähi showed the rest how to do it. Palermaa's great bowling never stopped. His two lowest games were the two first, 225 and 226. After that he picked up speed with 261, 252, 243 and 247.

Jähi fell a little at the end, but he became third with 1355. Osku Palermaa started great 257, but after that he did not get big games, but his speed game 1327, which is on the predicted cut.

Toni Palermaa could not hide his happiness. "Joonas (Jähi) and I started on the same pair and we noticed that a matte ball works fine in the outside line. To me it means second arrow and break on board five. I continued with the same ball and kept on moving to left and ended between arrows five and six. Moving was easy and logic", Palermaa explained his bowling. 

"Joonas and I wondered why everybody else started so deep inside. I did throw some bad shots, but my ball worked wonderfully and corrected them all. I give a lot of credit to the ball", Toni grins. "It gave me a lot of room to both directions".

"I understood to throw the ball a little slower. This helped and I also was lucky, the pins went every time. I only left one solid pin. It was eight-pin in the last frame, Palermaa sighed.
