Tobias Karlsson overtook Lehtonen
The leader of Brunswick Ballmaster Open changed on Friday afternoon, when Tobias Karlsson of Sweden dropped Kimmo Lehtonen to the second place with 26 pins. Karlsson who came to Helsinki just in the morning bowled the highest score 1431 (238,5).
Tobias had good touch for the game already when he came to Helsinki early this morning by boat. He made the result for to lead immediately with his first try this year.
- When I came to center I followed the first squad. My good friend Erik Andersin was playing there and I found the idea how I will start and how I will play. In the beginning I was really tired and did not feel so good. Bowling is in any case very simple sport, if you just find the right touch on the lanes, Tobias told.
He started with a good game, 241, but then there was a short “silent” moment. The end was excellent bowling and Tobias scored games 258 and 267.
- After three games I needed just small changes in my bowling and I managed to hit the pocket all the time, he said happily.
- I am of course very satisfied. When you look at the result list’s, this is really good. The lane conditions are not that difficult as you might think. You only need to find the right line and right ball.
Tobias Karlsson has never made the cut to top eight in Ballmaster Open, but now he has a good change for that. - Hopefully this is enough now. You never know what the morrow will bring, but in any case I will bowl one squad tomorrow still.
