Ten thousands with a three hundred

19.12.2009

In Brunswick Ballmaster Open jubilee tournament there is more than just the 105.000 euro available as prizes. There is also a 10.000 euro extra prize for a 300-game. Earlier Ballmaster eXtra has given away a car and a motorcycle, now there are euro up for grabs.

The 40th anniversary tournament spices up every day as it draws nearer. Now bowling club GB from Helsinki has published Ballmaster eXtra competition that is open for all entrants in Ballmaster Open. You can enter the competition with 50 euro, after which all further games the bowler rolls in the tournament are eligible for eXtra. So the one entry fee covers all games on all re-entries and finals and also in desperado. Games bowled before paying the eXtra fee are not eligible in this competition.

The 10.000 euro first prize goes to the bowler, who rolls the only accepted 300-game or, if there are more than one perfectos, the pot goes to the winner of one ball roll-off. All bowlers, who entered eXtra and rolled a 300-game, are in the roll-off that will be continued until the winner is found. The possible roll-off will be played after the TV-finals.

Realizing the 10.000 euro first prize requires 210 entries in eXtra. The winner is however guaranteed at least 3.000 euro. The prize sum increases from the minimum relatively compared to the entries.

In 2007 Brunswick Ballmaster Open eXtra was won by Toni Laine from Turku, who took away the prize car. One year later another bowler from Turku, Matias Kallio, and Tim Mack from USA both rolled 300-game. Mack won the roll-off on the second try and got a Suzuki motorcycle.
