The 40th anniversary of Brunswick Ballmaster Open is expected to become a great tournament. It has been a pleasure to see how well both Finnish and foreign bowlers have taken to the tournament; only that will give a great week in Tali.

At the end of September already 350 bowlers have made their reservation. There will be bowlers from every level which is very delightful. There will be a lot of action in Tali Bowl. At the moment there are entrants from 18 countries. For the first time in the tournament history we will receive visitors from Iceland and Ireland; welcome Hafthor Hadarson and Paul Stott.

There will be a lot of action in Tali during the BM Tournament; youth squad, senior squad, winner´s squad and squads with youth national Team players getting acquainted to the lanes and environment of the World Youth Championships of next summer. Sweden, Norway, Austria and Ukraine have already entered their youth teams. Unfortunately the youth friendly match we planned will not realize.

There will be a special squad on Friday, January 8th at 7 PM for Ballmasters Open legends, the tournament winners. Confirmed entries have been received from Erik Garder and Tore Torgersen from Norway, Mats Karlsson and Tomas Leandersson from Sweden. From Finland will be entering Leo Hilokoski, Pekka “Picle” Lundström, Simo Vähä-Korpela, the only lady winners Piritta Kantola and Leena Pulliainen and from younger generation Jouni Helminen, Kimmo Lehtonen, Lasse Lintilä, Petri Mannonen, Olli Tiainen, Mika Lahti and Kai Virtanen. Leo Hilokoski is the legend of the legends, his victory dates back to 1977!

Tali Bowl had new pinsetters and scorers installed. The new tournament software and scorers will give the organization better possibilities to run the scores. We believe we can serve both bowlers and spectators better than before.

Our small organization is looking forward to the tournament in good feelings. We believe that together with you we will make a memorable tournament that will culminate in finals on January 10th and after that in a Victory Banquet in Flamingo BowlCircus bowling entertainment center in Vantaa.
