The opening day of the Brunswick Ballmaster Open is approaching and you need to start considering the EBT- penalty point rules. According to the rules the late cancellations are divided to three groups and so are the penalty points and other consequences.

These rules concern the first reservation that the player has, cancelling the re-entries give no penalties.

Type A means that the organizer is notified by the player in the period of 30 days before the first day of the tournament until 8 days before the first day of the tournament.

Type B means that the organizer is notified by the player in the period of 7 days before the first day of the tournament until and including the last qualification day of the tournament, but before the qualification squad in which the primary entry was ordered.

Type C is defined as a “No Show”, which means that a player fails to appear without having notified the organizer or if the player notifies the organizer after the start of the qualification squad in which the primary entry was ordered.

To make the system run smoothly, players are not able to cancel their first reservations through our reservation system after December 6, 2009. You can change your reservations. The cancellations must be made via e-mail to address ballmaster@ballmaster.fi.

The detailed rules about cancellations can be found on the ETBF web pages www.etbf.eu/publications. There you can also find what consequences will follow after accumulating points to your “account”. In practice you will get a ban of some length on participating to EBT stops and some expenses.

The organizer of the Brunswick Ballmaster Open has so far not used his right to charge uncancelled entry fees and he wishes to be able to do so also in the 2009 volume of the tournament. That is why we hope that the players will follow the rules to maintain the mutual trust also in the future.
